Egypt's AI Ambassadors Program Graduates 1,927, Boosting National Digital Skills

Egypt's Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (MCIT) is continuously working to expand the country's digital talent pool. They're doing this through training programs designed to spread AI awareness and qualify non-specialists, all to support digital transformation and build a strong, knowledge-based economy. As part of these efforts to boost digital capabilities and promote AI culture, the National Telecommunication Institute (NTI) recently announced the graduation of 1,927 trainees from the eighth batch (Basic Level) of its "AI Ambassadors" program. This fantastic initiative is organized by NTI in collaboration with the "Engineers for Sustainable Egypt" foundation. The "AI Ambassadors" program continues to solidify its position as one of the largest national programs for training non-specialists in using AI technologies and spreading AI culture across various workplaces. It truly helps empower different segments of society to use AI tools in their professional and daily lives, supporting Egypt's national drive towards digital transformation. The graduation ceremony took place at the National Telecommunication Institute's headquarters in Knowledge City, located in the New Administrative Capital. Dr. Ahmed Khattab, Director of the National Telecommunication Institute, and Eng. Mohamed Kamel, Head of the "Engineers for Sustainable Egypt" foundation, were both there, alongside other leaders from both organizations. The program's main goal is to empower young Egyptians to take advantage of the advanced opportunities that AI technologies offer. It's a one-month training program that includes 36 hours of interactive training, plus an additional 4 hours dedicated to completing a practical, hands-on project. Participants in the program focus on learning the fundamentals of AI and developing skills to apply its tools in different work environments. The curriculum also covers important topics like basic data analysis, the challenges associated with using AI, ethical considerations, and a look at the most prominent future trends in the field. Since its launch, the "AI Ambassadors" program has successfully trained over 12,600 graduates from various governorates across Egypt at the basic level. This impressive number truly highlights the program's wide reach and its crucial role in spreading AI culture and building digital capabilities throughout the country.
