Egypt University of Informatics Celebrates Top Students and Champions Tech Talent

Egypt University of Informatics (EUI) recently held a wonderful celebration to honor 72 of its top-performing male and female students from across all academic levels in its four faculties. This special "Day of Excellence" event for the first semester of the 2025/2026 academic year took place at the university's campus in Knowledge City, located in the New Administrative Capital. Professor Dr. Ahmed Hamad, the Acting President of Egypt University of Informatics, emphasized that celebrating this Day of Excellence has been a core tradition for the university since its establishment in 2021. It's all about nurturing outstanding students in various fields, creating a supportive environment for their growth, and helping them channel their excellence into entrepreneurship to ensure their continued success. He also highlighted the incredible efforts of the faculty members, which have clearly led to the advanced academic level of students across all university faculties. Dr. Hamad encouraged students to keep up this excellent performance, seeing it as a blueprint for the future. He pointed out that the university boasts a selection of specialists in academic programs related to modern technologies in the telecommunications and business technology sectors, reflecting the Fifth Industrial Revolution. This is all part of EUI's mission to help shape the future of the sector, solidify the modern technology industry, and support the achievements of the New Republic. He also praised the students' ability to balance their academic studies with launching and growing their own projects simultaneously. The Acting President specifically commended two visually impaired students, Adel Ali Al-Saudi and Madonna Malak Aziz. They recently transferred to the university after their scholarships, funded by the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID), were discontinued. Despite this challenge, they achieved remarkable academic success in the first year of the Faculty of Business Technology. Adel Ali Al-Saudi secured first place, while Madonna Malak Aziz earned third place. Dr. Hamad encouraged all students, both those honored and those not, to keep striving for knowledge and to remain humble as they progress in their academic journeys. He firmly stated that young people are the hope for building a brighter future for Egypt in all areas. He further explained that during the 2025/2026 academic year, the university welcomed 12 visually impaired students after their previous scholarships ended. EUI provided them with full support and assistive tools for their studies and research, upholding the principle of the right to education for everyone. The university also successfully secured scholarships for 25 outstanding students and top high school graduates, thanks to collaborations with various institutions, banks, and telecommunications and business technology companies both inside and outside Egypt. These partners include the Central Bank of Egypt, Microsoft, Telecom Egypt "WE", the National Bank of Egypt, and Banque Misr. The honoring ceremony saw the participation of Dr. Yasser Kazem, the University Secretary-General; Professor Dr. Ashraf Mehran, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering; Professor Dr. Hoda Mokhtar, Dean of the Faculty of Computer Science and Information; Professor Dr. Mohamed Saleh, Dean of the Faculty of Business Technology; and Professor Dr. Ashraf Zaki, Dean of the Faculty of Digital Arts and Design, along with many other faculty members.
