In a move that shows a growing trend towards making Egyptian handicrafts global, Egypt's Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises Development Agency (MSMEDA) participated as a guest of honor in the 42nd Salon and Innovation in Traditional Industries in Tunis. This event saw wide international attendance, opening up exciting new opportunities for craftspeople to enter foreign markets. Basil Rahmy, MSMEDA's CEO, explained that this participation is part of Egypt's commitment to empowering small business owners, especially those in handicrafts and heritage crafts. The goal is to help them develop their products to meet global market demands, which will boost export opportunities and create lasting marketing channels beyond Egypt's borders. He added that MSMEDA is working to provide a complete platform for these artisans to directly engage with international markets, helping them understand demand trends and sign new contracts.
