Afreximbank, also known as the African Export-Import Bank, has officially launched the first group of its “Afreximbank Accelerator Programme.” This exciting program features eight promising startups from across Africa. The intensive launch event took place in Cairo from March 23 to 27, 2026. These companies were carefully selected from over 1,600 applications through a rigorous competitive process. They represent a select group dedicated to building the essential digital infrastructure needed to support trade within the continent. **Leading Startups in Digital Trade** The participating companies are focusing on key areas like cross-border payments, digital logistics, platforms for agricultural exports, AI-powered business solutions, supply chain finance, and mobilizing diaspora investments. This first group of the accelerator program includes eight outstanding startups representing various parts of the African continent. These are Fincart.io from Egypt; OnePort 365, which operates in Nigeria, Ghana, and Kenya; Timon, extending its services to 15 African countries; Zowasel, covering Nigeria, Kenya, and Tanzania; Gebeya from Ethiopia; Fluna, active in 10 countries; Capsa Technologies from Nigeria; and Daba Finance, serving French-speaking African nations. Together, this group forms the heart of digital innovation for intra-African trade.
