In a move that shows deeper shifts happening in the e-commerce world, US-based InvenTel has acquired Amzolute, an ad-tech startup from Cairo. Amzolute specializes in making ads perform better and helping brands grow on e-commerce platforms.
This deal, which wrapped up in April 2026, isn't just a typical acquisition. It really highlights the exciting and rapid rise of new service models linked to the Amazon ecosystem in our region.
Amzolute was founded in 2022 by Ahmed El Hefny. This was a super important time because it coincided with Amazon officially entering the Egyptian market after buying Souq.com. This big change created a completely new environment, where brands suddenly found themselves facing a complex platform that needed a deep understanding of how listings work, ads, and what customers do.
Instead of going into direct selling, Amzolute spotted a clear gap in the market: companies lacked the specialized know-how to truly succeed within the Amazon marketplace.
So, Amzolute positioned itself as a B2B service provider. They offered solutions like ad optimization, campaign management, and building market strategies. This really helped create a whole new category of services in the region.
Over time, the company successfully established itself as a leader. It became the first Egyptian company to join Amazon's official service provider network, and then the first Arab company to get accredited as an official advertising partner. This built even more trust with clients and allowed them to expand beyond their local market.
But with this expansion came a more complex challenge: managing huge amounts of data related to ad performance, from keywords to conversion behavior and competitor moves. That's when Amzolute made a smart strategic move by integrating Artificial Intelligence right into the heart of its operations. It wasn't just a separate product, but an operational structure designed to support real-time decision-making.
This shift allowed Amzolute to move from managing campaigns manually to a model based on continuous, data-driven optimization. This boosted the efficiency of ad spending and helped brands achieve scalable growth in a highly competitive environment.
Even with a team of fewer than 20 employees, the company managed to serve over 850 brands in more than 12 countries, with significant expansion into markets like the UAE by 2024.
This growth really shows off a flexible business model that customizes strategies based on each client's goals, whether they're focused on rapid expansion or achieving profitability.
