Egypt's Education Ministry to Boost Student Skills with Financial Literacy, AI, and Coding

Egypt's Minister of Education and Technical Education, Mohamed Abdel Latif, recently met with Dr. Islam Azzam, who heads the Financial Regulatory Authority. They discussed how to weave financial literacy into school curricula. This move aims to boost students' economic awareness and help them develop skills for navigating financial markets and making smart investment choices. Minister Abdel Latif emphasized that teaching concepts like stock markets, trading, and managing money is key to preparing a generation that can make sound financial decisions. He believes this will also develop practical life skills that support sustainable development efforts. The Minister also pointed out that this initiative goes hand-in-hand with integrating modern technology into education, including programming and artificial intelligence. This will empower students to engage with the digital economy and understand global best practices in financial resource management. For his part, Dr. Islam Azzam highlighted the importance of collaboration between the Ministry and the Authority in spreading financial literacy. He confirmed that the Authority would provide all necessary technical support to ensure the curricula meet international best practices, ultimately contributing to economic stability and building a more aware society. The meeting was attended by Dr. Ahmed Daher, Dr. Ayman Bahaa, Dr. Mohamed Abdel Aziz, and Dina Kamal.
