The local market is no longer just an emerging environment; it has become a regional player aiming to solidify its position on the global innovation map. ## Digital Growth Reflects Market Expansion Data reveals that Egyptian startups attracted over $2.1 billion in funding between 2020 and 2025. At the same time, the number of active companies has grown to more than 1,500. This clearly shows the expanding base of entrepreneurial activity and the growing confidence investors have in the Egyptian market. ## Cairo: A Regional Hub for Startups With over 15 venture capital and corporate venture capital funds, Cairo is strengthening its position as a major entrepreneurship hub in the Middle East and Africa region. Companies are increasingly establishing their business models locally before expanding into the Gulf and African markets. ## Investment Momentum and Exit Activities Egyptian startups have also seen significant exit activity, with a total value of $7.4 billion across more than 50 deals.
