In line with the state's directives to boost the role of small and medium-sized enterprises in supporting the national economy, the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises Development Agency (MSMEDA) has signed a new financing agreement with Aman Holding worth EGP 300 million. This aims to provide fresh funding for medium and small enterprises across various governorates, contributing to expanding local production and creating new job opportunities.
The agreement was signed in the presence of several leaders from both sides. Basil Rahmy, CEO of MSMEDA, and Eng. Hazem Maghazy, Co-CEO for Business and Commercial Affairs at Aman Holding, along with Ayman Basiouny, the company's Chief Financial Officer, signed the contract. Also present were Mohamed Medhat, Deputy CEO of MSMEDA, Mohamed Osama, Head of the Central Sector for Medium and Small Enterprise Finance, and other officials from both parties.
New Funding to Support Production Expansion
Basil Rahmy stated that this agreement is part of MSMEDA's strategy to expand cooperation with various financing entities, including banks and financing companies. The goal is to reach the largest possible number of business owners, especially youth and women in different governorates, and empower them economically by helping them launch new projects or expand existing ones.
He explained that the new funding will support expansion, replacement, and renewal operations within small and medium-sized enterprises. This will enhance their production capacity and improve the quality of their products, helping them compete in local markets and boosting their chances of continuity and long-term growth.
Boosting Financial Inclusion
Rahmy also noted that the collaboration with Aman Holding represents an additional step in the state's efforts to promote financial inclusion and encourage informal business owners to join the formal economy. This allows them to benefit from the advantages and incentives provided by sector-regulating legislation, most notably Law No. 152 of 2020 on the Development of Medium, Small, and Micro Enterprises, in addition to the tax incentives included in Law No. 6 of 2025.
He added that MSMEDA relies on a network of intermediary bodies to expand the scope of its financial and non-financial services across the Republic. This ensures access to target groups in various governorates and contributes to the geographical spread of services supporting entrepreneurship.
Extensive Funding Network to Support Entrepreneurs
For his part, Eng. Hazem Maghazy affirmed that renewing the partnership with MSMEDA reflects Aman Holding's commitment to supporting the business environment in Egypt. It also shows their dedication to providing innovative financing tools that support the growth of businesses of all sizes, especially small and medium-sized enterprises.
He clarified that Aman Holding relies on a wide network comprising 233 branches across the Republic, allowing it to reach a large segment of entrepreneurs and business owners. This enables them to offer financing services that help these businesses expand their activities and achieve financial sustainability.
He pointed out that the cooperation with MSMEDA serves as a model for the integration of roles between government institutions and the private sector. This contributes to supporting young talent, creating new job opportunities, and backing the state's efforts to achieve comprehensive economic development.
This collaboration comes within the framework of the state's directives to enhance the role of small and medium-sized enterprises as one of the most important drivers of economic growth. They contribute to increasing local production, providing alternatives to imported products, and supporting the export capacity of the Egyptian economy.
Furthermore, this partnership represents an additional step towards integrating a wide sector of businesses into the formal economy and providing the necessary funding to develop and expand their activities, thereby enhancing the competitiveness of the national economy and supporting the path of economic development.
