Egypt's MSMEDA Launches New Business Simulation Program to Train Future Entrepreneurs

Egypt's Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises Development Agency (MSMEDA) has launched a brand new training program called 'Business Simulation.' The goal is to prepare and qualify graduates and students to move from academic study into the actual work environment, offering a training experience that mimics real-world project management.

This program is part of MSMEDA's efforts to equip young people with practical skills that enable them to think soundly about management and finance, boosting their ability to make decisions and manage projects professionally.

Empowering Graduates with Management and Decision-Making Skills

Basil Rahmy, CEO of MSMEDA, emphasized that the program aims to build young leaders capable of managing projects efficiently. It does this through interactive training that focuses on financial, administrative, and decision-making aspects.

He explained that the agency strives to move young people from the traditional academic framework into an environment that closely resembles the real market, thereby enhancing their readiness for the job market and entrepreneurship.

A Comprehensive Support System Beyond Traditional Training

Rahmy also pointed out that the system of non-financial services offered by MSMEDA isn't just limited to training. It extends to technical, procedural, and marketing support, alongside continuously updating training programs to keep up with market demands and digital transformation.

This comprehensive system includes providing technical consultations, preparing guiding feasibility studies, simplifying licensing procedures, and opening new marketing avenues through exhibitions and business networking.

International Partnerships for Global Expertise Transfer

The agency's CEO clarified that the 'Business Simulation' program was developed in collaboration with the German Savings Banks Association and is being implemented in Egypt in partnership with the Central Bank of Egypt. This is all part of a strategy to benefit from the best international practices.

These partnerships reflect MSMEDA's direction towards localizing global expertise in supporting small projects and building modern training systems that rely on interaction and realistic simulation.

Geographic Expansion to Include Egyptian Universities

Rahmy revealed that the program has a wide expansion plan covering various governorates across Egypt. Training is set to begin at Cairo and Suez universities next June, and the program will also be available at the Bibliotheca Alexandrina.

MSMEDA has already started providing training to final-year students at Egyptian universities, as well as to owners of micro-projects, while also preparing specialized trainers to deliver the program in different governorates.

Interactive Training Method Simulating Business Management

The 'Business Simulation' program simplifies the financial and administrative concepts that business owners face in the real world. Participants are trained to accurately calculate costs, revenues, and determine the financial position of projects.

The content is delivered in an interactive format using group games. Participants are divided into working groups, with each group given a complete virtual project to manage. This puts them in front of real challenges that require analyzing alternatives and making sound investment decisions.

A Vision to Support Entrepreneurs and Build Youth Capabilities

Overall, the program aims to foster a culture of entrepreneurship among young people and prepare a generation capable of efficiently managing small and medium enterprises.
