The Global Startup Awards (GSA) platform, which kicked off in 2012, is one of the biggest global initiatives dedicated to supporting and empowering startups. Its activities span an impressive 154 countries worldwide. The platform's main goal is to discover innovative entrepreneurs and fast-growing startups, giving them a boost through international competitions and events. They also work hard to build a global network of collaboration and a supportive community for everyone in the entrepreneurship world. Getting to the global finals is no small feat! Finalists were chosen after a super comprehensive evaluation process that looked at over 70,000 nominations. This also included careful reviews by specialized judging panels and regional competitions held across six continents. EdVentures was founded in 2017 and has quickly become one of the most prominent venture capital firms focusing on education technology (EdTech) in Egypt and the wider Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region. Beyond investing, they also act as a business accelerator and incubator for startups in the sector. The company actually started as the investment arm of Nahdet Misr Group, a leading institution well-known in the field of education. EdVentures' mission is all about supporting and developing high-impact startups in education, culture, and innovative learning solutions. They do this by offering institutional support, funding, deep industry expertise, and special programs designed to speed up growth.
