In a short time, the company has put together a network of over 500 medical suppliers and manufacturers. They're now serving more than 12,000 clients, including pharmacies, clinics, hospitals, and labs, and have achieved a growth rate of over 200%! Dawaya also plans to reach 25,000 clients by the end of 2025, before expanding into the Gulf markets in 2026.

Launching a Smart Pharmacy Network Aiming for 500 Branches

In its latest expansion move, Dawaya announced the launch of "Dawaya Pharmacy Group." This is part of a bigger plan to build a pharmacy network that uses technology and artificial intelligence to manage and run healthcare services.

Opening the first branch of this group kicks off an ambitious expansion plan to reach 500 branches across different governorates by 2028. They'll do this through directly owned branches, as well as through partnership and franchise models with pharmacists and pharmacy owners.

Redefining the Role of Pharmacies in Egypt

Dawaya isn't sticking to the traditional pharmacy model. Instead, they're working to transform pharmacies into smart, digitally connected healthcare hubs. These hubs will link patients, pharmacies, doctors, clinics, and suppliers all within one unified system.

The company aims to improve the patient experience, boost operational efficiency within branches, and use digital solutions to help pharmacists make better decisions. This will create a more connected and efficient healthcare journey for everyone.

Artificial Intelligence at the Heart of Operations

Dr. Ahmed Fazzara explains that Dawaya is integrating AI technologies into its branches through two platforms: Duaya AI and DUAYA X. The goal is to make operations smoother and manage pharmacies more efficiently.

The planned uses for AI include helping pharmacists with daily tasks and decision-making, providing smart assistants to interact with customers, improving order and supply chain management, and reducing operational time while boosting service quality.

A Partnership Model to Bring Pharmacies into the Network

Dawaya's expansion plan is built around a partnership model that allows pharmacists and pharmacy owners to join their network. This approach combines local expertise with the central technological infrastructure provided by the company.

This strategy aims to build a connected healthcare system that relies on smart operations and digital links between all parts of the health sector.

Strategic Acquisition to Speed Up Digitalization

To boost its digital services, Dawaya announced it has acquired EXMGO. This strategic deal aims to speed up the digitalization of the pharmacy sector and expand e-commerce services in the Egyptian market.

The company has relaunched the service as "Duaya Go," offering advanced solutions that help pharmacies and medical companies create their own apps and websites, along with tools for managing sales, inventory, and online payments.

"Duaya X": Egypt's First Smart Medical Robot

In a move that truly shows the company's focus on innovation, Dawaya has launched its smart medical robot, "Duaya X." This is Egypt's very first smart medical robot designed to support digital transformation in healthcare.

The robot aims to improve the efficiency of medical services and enhance the experience for both patients and doctors. It does this by using AI technologies and modern digital solutions, aligning perfectly with Egypt's digital transformation goals and Vision 2030.
