The "Start" Summit will tackle a crucial question: how to transform ideas or emerging projects into real investment opportunities. This will happen during a discussion session featuring Dr. Majed Ghoneima, a Mechatronics Engineering Professor and Angel Investor, and one of the most influential figures supporting and developing Egypt's entrepreneurship ecosystem.
Dr. Majed Ghoneima is a prominent angel investor who founded M Empire Angels. Through this entity, he has invested in over 200 startups spanning more than 30 countries worldwide, showcasing his extensive experience in startup investment and global markets.
He has also played a significant role in supporting innovation and entrepreneurship within Egyptian universities, having founded the ASU Innovation Hub. He contributed to launching several initiatives aimed at supporting innovators and entrepreneurs across the country, thereby enhancing the innovation and entrepreneurship environment within academic institutions.
Dr. Majed Ghoneima continues his efforts to connect entrepreneurs with the necessary resources and expertise for growth and expansion by establishing the Startup Egypt foundation. This foundation aims to create an interactive community for startup founders, providing them with opportunities to network and exchange experiences and knowledge essential for developing their projects.
During his participation in the "Start" Summit, Ghoneima will present his vision on entrepreneurship and innovation, along with mechanisms for building projects capable of growth, sustainability, and attracting investors. This presentation draws from his practical experience in investing in and supporting startups at various stages.
The summit's activities are sponsored and organized by the Egyptian Ministry of Social Solidarity through its university solidarity units' projects. This initiative is part of the state's broader support for entrepreneurship and youth empowerment.
