ByteDance, TikTok's Parent, Powers Up AI with Custom Chips and New 'Coze' Platform

Egyptian technology expert Mohamed El-Menoufy shared that China's ByteDance, the parent company of the TikTok app, is quickly moving towards developing its own central processing units (CPUs). This step is all about strengthening its artificial intelligence infrastructure and becoming less dependent on outside suppliers. El-Menoufy explained in a quick analysis on his Facebook page that the main reason for this shift is the big jump in electronic chip prices and the tricky global supply chains. These challenges have pushed the Chinese tech giant to aim for technological self-sufficiency in this really important sector. According to Mohamed El-Menoufy, the company plans to design custom processors specifically for its servers and data centers. This will allow them to run their artificial intelligence applications much more efficiently. He also added, "ByteDance is getting ready to launch the 'Coze' platform for smart agents. They're really betting on this platform to grab a big piece of the artificial intelligence market in the near future."
