Bidayati Microfinance is moving fast in the non-banking financial services market. They're following an expansion strategy aimed at deepening financial inclusion and supporting micro-enterprise owners, especially in areas that don't have many financial services.
A Quick Start and Regulatory License Build Trust
Bidayati was founded in 2021 as a subsidiary of the Egyptian Kuwaiti Holding Company. They entered the market at a time when microfinance activity in Egypt was really booming.
The company received license number (14) to operate from the Financial Regulatory Authority in November of the same year. They kicked off their operations with about 70 branches, and they have a plan to gradually expand across all governorates of the Republic.
Flexible Funding Model and Fast Execution
Bidayati focuses on offering easy financing solutions for micro-enterprise owners, with financial products that fit the unique needs of this group.
The company provides loans ranging from 10,000 EGP to 292,000 EGP, with flexible repayment periods from 6 to 30 months, paid in monthly installments.
Bidayati also emphasizes speed, disbursing loans within 48 hours. This really helps them meet customer needs quickly, especially for businesses that rely on fast cash flow.
Funding That Supports Growth and Expansion
To boost its lending capacity, Bidayati signed an agreement worth 100 million EGP with the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprise Development Agency. This partnership aims to support microfinance activities and increase the number of people who can benefit from their services.
Bidayati's role isn't just about providing money; it also extends to offering technical and administrative support to clients. They provide guidance and advice to help clients manage their projects and achieve long-term success.
The company also works to share experiences among clients, leveraging successful project models to boost growth opportunities and reduce operational risks.
In line with this, Bidayati focuses on supporting residents in the most in-need governorates and villages. This contributes to improving living standards and positively impacts families and local communities.
A Developmental Role in Job Creation
The company is committed to strengthening its community role by expanding the hiring of young talent and offering training and qualification programs. These programs aim to build the skills of workers in the microfinance sector.
This approach helps create new job opportunities and supports the government's efforts to reduce unemployment rates, especially in areas with limited job prospects.
Targeted Customer Base Across Various Activities
Bidayati targets individuals who own micro-enterprises in various sectors, including commercial, productive, and service industries, while excluding activities prohibited by law.
The company focuses on empowering its clients to expand their businesses, purchase equipment and goods, and improve production efficiency, which boosts their competitiveness.
This agreement supports the company's expansion plans, enabling it to reach new segments of customers, especially in unbanked areas.
Geographic Reach Focused on Upper Egypt and the Delta
Bidayati has an expansion strategy that prioritizes governorates with high population density and significant financing needs, particularly in Upper Egypt and the Delta.
Their network covers several governorates, including Sharqia, Dakahlia, Beheira, Minya, Beni Suef, Fayoum, Qena, Aswan, and Sohag. This reflects their commitment to supporting groups with limited access to financial services.
Mohamed Mashhour, the company's Managing Director, emphasized that access to financial services is a cornerstone for driving economic growth, creating jobs, and improving living standards.
He pointed out that micro-enterprises are a key engine for the economy. This drives the company to focus on providing flexible financial services to unbanked populations, helping to create new income sources and combat unemployment.
In the coming period, Bidayati aims to continue its geographic expansion and develop its financial products to meet market needs.
The company also focuses on maximizing the economic and social impact of its activities by supporting the growth of micro-enterprises and enhancing their role in local community development.
