BasharSoft is one of Egypt's leading technology companies, specializing in developing digital recruitment solutions and labor market platforms. They focus on building a complete ecosystem that connects job seekers with companies through smart platforms powered by data and modern technologies.

The company is a prominent player in the Human Resources Technology (HR Tech) sector across the Middle East, with a strong presence in the Egyptian market and growing expansion into several regional markets.

How It Started and Grew

BasharSoft was founded in 2009 as a recruitment technology startup, supported by Egypt's entrepreneurship and innovation ecosystem. It gradually transformed into a technology group that owns multiple platforms and offers comprehensive services to the labor market, expanding its client base both inside and outside Egypt.

Key Operating Platforms

The company owns some of the region's most prominent recruitment platforms. These include "Wuzzuf," which is one of the largest job platforms in Egypt, and "Forasna," which specializes in operational and vocational jobs. They also offer digital solutions and support services for talent management and corporate recruitment.

BasharSoft has successfully played a pivotal role in connecting millions of job seekers with employment opportunities. It has also helped facilitate hundreds of thousands of recruitment processes and built a wide network of companies and employers in both the Egyptian and regional markets.

Expansion and Strategy

The company is pursuing a regional expansion strategy targeting Gulf markets, especially Saudi Arabia. This strategy focuses on building an integrated system for recruitment and labor market management, powered by artificial intelligence and data analytics.

BasharSoft also aims to boost its growth by acquiring startups in the technology and recruitment sectors, particularly those with flexible, cross-market operating models.

Acquisition Plan

The company is currently working on a plan to acquire about 5 startups, with an estimated value of approximately $5 million. These acquisitions will be spread across the Egyptian market and several international markets.

Amir Sherif, the company's founder, stated that these acquisitions are part of a broader strategy to build an an integrated entity that serves the labor market. This includes not only recruitment but also learning tools, talent management, and data analytics.

Geographic Reach and Investments

BasharSoft draws a significant portion of its operational strength from the Egyptian market, which accounts for about 90% of its business. It is also expanding into the Gulf markets, Jordan, and several other countries.

In recent years, the company has successfully attracted investments from international institutions and entities in Europe and the United States. This has strengthened its ability to expand regionally and execute acquisition deals, including the acquisition of iCareer.
