Banknbox Expands Globally, Bringing Modern Banking Solutions to Asia, Africa, and Europe

Banknbox, a Banking-as-a-Service (BaaS) platform, is really making its mark as a cross-border financial infrastructure provider. They're expanding their operations from the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region into exciting new markets across Asia, Africa, and Europe.

Banknbox is specifically targeting markets where digital demand is booming, but traditional financial systems are still held back by old structures. The company helps banks, fintech firms, and other institutions launch new financial products super fast, thanks to its flexible and scalable infrastructure.

Just last year, Banknbox grew its operations to 12 active markets, and they're already planning to expand into 5 more by 2026! This growth is powered by strong partnerships and institutional projects in fast-growing, emerging markets, including:

**Asian Markets:** Banknbox has really strengthened its presence in several Asian countries, including India, Iraq, Lebanon, and Bahrain. India is a prime example, where they've partnered with Purview Services in Hyderabad to offer a complete digital wallet platform. A cool feature is that institutions can even own the source code, giving them tons of flexibility to customize things.

**Maldives:** Here, Banknbox is setting up a full-fledged banking model for the Bank of Maldives. Plus, they're launching a brand-new digital bank called “Premier Bank,” which will offer comprehensive digital banking services and payment cards.

**Central Africa:** In the Democratic Republic of Congo, Banknbox is teaming up with Solidaire Banque to develop a multi-channel digital banking system and an e-wallet. This is a huge step towards boosting financial inclusion in a market where banking services are currently limited.

**United Arab Emirates:** Banknbox is working on “Issuing & Acquiring” services for Al Rafidain Bank. This will create a scalable payment processing system in a market that's rapidly embracing digital transformation.

**Europe (Moldova):** Banknbox has officially entered the European market for the first time through a partnership with Paynet Moldova. This really solidifies their position as a leading cross-border financial infrastructure provider.

Bassem Mahmoud, Chairman of Banknbox, shared his thoughts: "Our main goal has always been to make it easier and faster to roll out financial services. Institutions everywhere face similar challenges like outdated systems, tricky regulations, and the pressure to get products to market quickly. This calls for an infrastructure that can constantly adapt."

Closer to home, Banknbox continues to grow its presence in Egypt. More than 10 financial institutions there rely on their platform for Issuing & Acquiring services. They're also leading the way in introducing SoftPOS technology, which is helping to speed up the shift towards digital payments.

As the fintech industry matures, things like scalability, local compliance, and how easy it is to integrate new systems become super important for staying competitive. Banknbox's flexible model, which includes SaaS solutions, integrated platforms, and even options for source code delivery, helps customers find the perfect balance between speed and full operational control.

This impressive expansion really shows Banknbox's advanced ability to handle complex projects across many different markets while also adapting to local compliance rules. This puts Banknbox right at the heart of the global financial sector's digital transformation wave.
