Ain Shams University Teams Up with LEAD to Boost Entrepreneurship and AI Skills for Egypt's Future

Under the kind patronage of Dr. Mohamed Diaa Zain El Abidin, President of Ain Shams University, Dr. Ghada Farouk, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development, and Dr. Farid Muharram Al-Jarhi, Dean of the Faculty of Commerce, a strategic Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) was officially signed. The signing ceremony took place in the 'Financial Experts' hall at the faculty, marking a new partnership between Ain Shams University and the Egyptian Leadership for Development Foundation (LEAD). This exciting collaboration aims to create a clear roadmap to prepare a new generation of students and graduates, empowering them to lead Egypt's economic and technological future. This partnership is a fantastic example of the 'Productive University' concept, which focuses on training students for real-world jobs. They've agreed to launch special programs designed to boost awareness of financial inclusion and sharpen entrepreneurial skills. A key part of this will be using AI tools through the CareerTech platform, making sure students are fully ready for today's fast-paced digital job market. But this agreement isn't just about professional growth; it also has a big heart! It includes initiatives to empower women, youth, and people with special needs. Plus, it aims to create a safer environment by offering awareness programs on protection policies and anti-violence. The partnership also wants to encourage a culture of volunteering and environmental awareness, showing how committed both parties are to sustainable development and social fairness. On the practical side, this collaboration will help turn the university campus into a lively hub for development. They plan to host regular job fairs, organize educational forums for managing small and medium-sized businesses, and even set up production units and business incubators. On top of that, students and graduates will get ongoing professional advice, making their journey from academics to successful careers much smoother. Dr. Farid Muharram Al-Jarhi highlighted that this initiative perfectly aligns with the faculty's strategy to improve its educational system. He stressed how important it is to equip students with the digital and professional skills needed for today's Fourth Industrial Revolution. He also emphasized building strong partnerships with civil society organizations to prepare a new generation of leaders who can truly boost the national economy. Meanwhile, Mai El-Tellawy, who is a member of the National Council for Human Rights and Chairperson of the Board of Trustees for the LEAD Foundation, shared how proud her organization is to partner with such a respected university like Ain Shams. She mentioned that LEAD's deep experience in sustainable development and financial inclusion will be put to good use, helping to turn young people's innovative ideas into real-world projects that will help communities grow and truly foster entrepreneurship.
